The drummer from Motley Crue, Tommy Lee, began playing the drums when he was a mere four years old. He didn't have a actual drum kit set until he was a teenager, but that hadn't deterred his playing in the least. Taylor Hawkins, who is very best known as being the drummer for the Foo Fighters, also began his drumming career as a child. Drums aren't just played by men and boys either, Sheila E has become particularly well identified for her incredible drum playing. She began playing drums at the early age of 3. Her father was a band leader so by the time she was five she was already playing in ballroom halls. LED lights on a drum set?
is there a way to get sound-activated LED light that turns on at a loud noise and then off at the next loud noise? or possibly just turns on at the noise for like a second then right back off. i'm trying to rig a drum kit to act like a strobe when each drum is hit. like kick the bass drum and the light will just flash on quick and then right back off. one kick on another off etc would work too. does anyone know where to find this or how to rig one up? it would be best if there was wires that ran to like a battery pack, instead of the batteries being in the light, as it would be a pain to take the drum head off every time a battery died. if a wire ran out thru a hole in the drum, and then to a battery pack then i could do a quick change. that last part is not nessicary, tho..i can take the drum heads off every once in a while. thanks in advance
i have holes in all of my shells, so heads would not have to be cut
That sounds like it would be awesome if you could get that to work.
I don't think it would be wise putting the wires through the heads, because this may cause an unpleasant sound or something. This is a motion/sound led light.

im not sure that it would turn off on the next motion/sound, but im sure it should say something like that on an instruction manuel.
I hope this helps!
Have Fun Playing Hand Drums delivers historic overview of all 3 drums followed by details about each and every drum, the dynamics and unique sounds a player can use and ways to accomplish every sound. You will find 6 uncomplicated Drum games for groups to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed "Drum Train", a great rudiment exercise that even skilled players will benefit from. It improves hand dexterity and use of dynamics. Approaches to evolve a easy rhythm into something more complex and busy is discussed. You'll find also 6 samples of layering 2-part rhythms, with players assigned very simple songs. Followed by 3-part rhythms and traditional rhythms for some of the a lot more popular hand drums. Kakilambe (Nigerian) for Djembe and Djun Djun drums; Tumbao (Cuban), one of the most universally recognized rhythms for Congas; Clave, a time keeping rhythm which is generally used to aide the members of a band; and finally, Martillo - a regular rhythm for bongos. The drum is one of the most used musical instrument to date and haveing the correct equipment like the Drum Set Light on this page will surely support in the performance.
Coming out of a musical back round is constantly a big support. I was in fact born into a family where my father plays guitar (which we're actually in a gigging band together currently), and out of his 4 brothers, 3 of them played instruments, together with my grandfather played bass, and my grandmother sang (that's how they met!) So interestingly enough, I believe that music runs within the family, since my parents never pushed the drums on me, and I eventually just wanted to play drums on my own. Just inside the local area I live in alone, I know 2 other fairly massive families that have extremely young talent, and also the parents and grandparents playing instruments at some point(or still right now). So if you have music in your blood, for gods sake, pick up a set of stick or a guitar (just not a bass), and get to practicing!
