I would get the Pulse Pro drumset ... it looks like its more worth-while , and may hold up a little longer in duration.. But as a percussionist myself Im aware that the quality of the wood used to make the toms and the bass drum play a part in it as well.. so you would probably want to get the best quality which is most likely the more expensive one unfortunately.... the good thing is that you can always get more accessories as time goes by , like your " symbols , another snare drum , hi hats , etc.. " ..those will make a big difference in improving the sound and effectiveness as you upgrade them.... but the Pulse Pro would be the better one to go with in my opinion..
